Ms. Schweizer is a 1982 graduate of the University of California, Berkeley. She received her law degree from New York Law School in 1986. Ms. Schweizer has spent most of her law career litigating complex cases involving obtaining payment for pollution cleanup and seeking compensation for failed financial institutions, acts of sexual harassment and discrimination, and for injuries resulting from defective products. Since the early 1990s, Ms. Schweizer's practice focus turned to representing clients who have been injured by exposure to asbestos. Ms. Schweizer has tried numerous asbestos cases and has received multiple verdicts in excess of a million dollars for her clients. Ms. Schweizer in a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association, the Consumer Attorneys of California and the Queen's Bench, among other professional organizations.
