Aug 4, 2008 - Center For Disease Control May Grant Coverage to Ground Zero Residents
The grants include health screenings, assessments, monitoring and tracking for people near Ground Zero who could experience a number of medical problems as a result of exposure to toxic dust. Mesosthelioma attorneys warn that this exposure could include mesothelioma, a respiratory disease caused by asbestos inhalation. WTO buildings were constructed before asbestos was banned in the United States.
The grants will provide up to $10 million a year for three years to cover gaps between private insurance and the costs associated with treatment. For more information log on to www.Grants.gov.
