To the Associates of Clapper, Patti, Schweizer & Mason,

Dear Everyone,

As you may have learned, Adrian Landres passed away on February 5th from that horrible disease of mesothelioma at 5:30 pm.  He was put on Hospice on Monday, the first of February.  He was a fighter and believed all the way to the end he would survive.  He had even bought a tuxedo suit so we could go on a cruise and renew our vows next year on February 14th, our 30th wedding anniversary.  The last three days was the hardest as he was becoming a shell of the man I loved.

Our best times were worst with sinus infection that swelled up in one of his eyes.  Doctors swore he would lose his sight.  NOT!  With the removal of his thyroid, he would form then on have to take medicine which he didn’t want to do.  And now a diagnosis of mesothelioma!   And a doctor telling us he had a death sentence when the disease was detected in 2004.  Of course, his sense of humor kicked in and without thinking her replied, “Life is a death sentence.”

I’m sending a color copy of his death certificate so you can show those bastards / asbestos companies that because of their carelessness and greed, another good person died.

I blame the people in charge and the companies that made asbestos.  Because of them, my better half is gone.

Thank you for all you have done in the past, the present and the future.  The past settlements from the mesothelioma lawsuit has got me a home completely paid off and allows me to not have to work except if I want to and on my terms.  The present and future are now on my shoulders to enjoy life and do trips we had only talked about doing.

My wish for all of you is to enjoy your families and friends, take trips together, and have arguments that only last five minutes.  LIFE and Time are too precious to waste.

Thank you again.  Keep up the fantastic work!

Sincerely yours,

Debby Landres
